Position Title:           People Operations Executive

Reports to:                People Operations Manager

Location:                   Jos, Nigeria

Purpose Statement:

The People Operations Executive reports to the People Operations Manager and is a member of the People Operations Team and works closely with other members of People & Corporate Services Team. This role is critical to building a high-performance culture through successful delivery of transactional people processes to employees, managers and the HR team by providing exceptional service with focus on overall employee experience and information availability in an efficient, accurate and compliant manner.

Key Accountabilities:

People Process | Operations

  • Hands on HR Customer Service ‘Delight Desk’
  • Drive the pre-employment and onboarding activities for new hires
  • Support relocation process for new hires
  • Provide and manage employee benefits in line with the company policy
  • Manage documentation, reporting and information of employees’ records
  • Carry out pre-confirmation background check for new hires
  • Management of Company’s HMO by ensuring timely enrolment of employees and their dependents in line with the company’s policy. This includes management of the HMO’s premiums and payment tracking database
  • Generation of employees’ correspondence e-g Offer Letters/ Introduction letters, confirmation letters and employee reference letters.
  • Management of vendors’ payment within People Operations
  • Administration of Recognition vouchers in line with the company policy.
  • Provide support in the development, implementation and administration of technology driven tools that significantly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of HR processes
  • Ensure team efficiency and effectiveness in carrying out day to day/ adhoc administrative responsibilities as may be required
  • Provide back up support for team members as provided in the work distribution schedule

Systems Process | Operations

  • Management of the employee life cycle i.e. joiners, movers, leavers via ERP tool
  • Maintain and update employee records as provided in the HR Information system
  • Ensure people moves are effectively actioned and updated in the Company organogram
  • Management of the retention schedules and records management in People Operations

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • A Degree in the Humanities, Social Sciences or Arts
  • 2 – 4 years tactical experience in Human Resources
  • Working knowledge of SAP. Knowledge of Payroll module; support and experience will be an added advantage
  • Strong data, analytical and numeracy skills
  • Exhibits a high level of initiative, confidentiality & commitment
  • Have sufficient IT knowledge/skills to generate, operate and run reports.
  • Ability to work within strict deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to changes quickly when required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Background knowledge on Electronic Records Management Process
