Grand Pure Soya Oil for a Healthy Heart

World Heart Day is a global campaign created by the World Heart Federation and celebrated every year on September 29th. The campaign is aimed at informing people around the world about cardiovascular disease (CVD) and advising them on healthy habits that can prevent these diseases. Through this campaign, the Federation unites people in the fight against the CVD burden as well as inspires and drives international action to encourage heart-healthy living. This year’s celebration comes with the hashtag #USEHEARTTOCONNECT’. Grand Cereals Limited, producers of the heart-friendly Grand Pure Soya Oil join the rest of the world to celebrate this day.

So, how do you #UseHeart? Grand Pure Soya Oil (GPSO) is a product made from carefully selected soya bean seeds, using the best manufacturing standards has been serving Nigeria for over 38 years. Oil extracted from soya bean seeds mostly consists of polyunsaturated fatty acids, which are heart-healthy type of fat that is associated with several benefits. Studies show that swapping saturated fats for polyunsaturated fats in one’s diet can help lower the risk of heart diseases and prevent cardiac arrests.

With a total composition of 61%, as opposed to 9% present in olive oil, soya bean oil can be adjudged the best for overall heart health. Soya bean oil, which is known to also contain a good amount of Omega-3 fatty acids in each serving, can provide several health benefits and play an integral role in heart health, fetal development, brain function and immunity.

There are healthy oils/fats and unhealthy oils/fats. Eating too much of the wrong kind of fats like saturated fats and trans fats can raise unhealthy low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol and lower healthy high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol or ‘good’ cholesterol. Unhealthy cholesterol and saturated fats can increase the risks of high blood pressure, among other heart-related diseases.

According to the World Health Organization, cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are the leading causes of death globally, with an estimated 17.9 million people dying from CVDs in 2019, representing 32% of all global deaths. Of these deaths, 85% were due to heart attack and stroke. Most cardiovascular diseases can be prevented by addressing behavioural risk factors such as tobacco use, unhealthy diet and obesity, physical inactivity, and harmful use of alcohol.

At Grand Cereals, we care about your heart and that is why our Grand Pure Soya Oil, which contains very low cholesterol and does not solidify, is endorsed by the Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN) and the Nigerian Heart Foundation (NHF) as the ‘heart-friendly oil’.
‘As we join the world to commemorate the World Heart Day, we urge you to take care of your hearts to prevent risks of heart diseases and remember to #USEHEARTTOCONNECT #GRANDCEREALSCARES #GRANDPURESOYAOIL

The contacts for whole-salers of Grand oil on your automatic answering machine has no name or telephone numbers to contact. This is unhelpful. Visit to one of them listed as Shop 47 TBS, Lagos, the occupants of the shop said they had nothing to do with Grand Oil. Pls check, review and update the list with contact names and phone numbers. Pls I need the contact (name and phone number) of whole sale supplier of Grand Oil in Lagos Island. Thank you.

I stumbled on Grand cereals oil by accident in the market. I decided to try it. I had spectacular kitchen food experience so I decided to use it for my school vocational training ( chin chin making). I sent little portions to all my school parents. The calls started coming asking which oil I used to fry the chinchin. I gladly told them it was Grand cereal oil I used. Almost all purchased and started using the oil
